Propel treatment works by removing some of the external surfaces of the bone. The bone then goes through a phase where the mineral content is temporarily decreased. The tissue of the bone releases rich deposits of calcium, and new bone begins to mineralize. While in this transition phase, bone is softer and there is less resistance for the existing braces, allowing them to move quickly.
